Trusted. Proven. Respected.

Retired Cass County Prosecutor, Kevin Enyeart

"AJ Rozzi will make an excellent Sheriff. His intelligence, conscientiousness and common sense will serve him well as Sheriff, as it has throughout his law-enforcement career.

We worked together for a long time, making Cass County safer. I value intellect and insight when working cases together from start to finish. As Detective, AJ focused on details and leads of his investigations to ensure a strong case was presented to the Prosecutor's Office so that criminals we held accountable and victims received justice. His leadership skills, as evidenced by his roles as Assistant Chief of Police and Police Chief, will be invaluable when he is Sheriff.

AJ's experience and integrity will undoubtedly allow him to lead the Sheriff's Department and Cass County with distinction. He was always 100% dedicated to good police work.

AJ is a democrat and I am a republican, but that did not matter to AJ. What mattered to AJ was our community and making Cass County safer for everyone.
When it comes to supporting AJ for Sheriff, politics don't matter to me either. What matters to me is that AJ is highly trained and ready to lead the Sheriff's Department.

It is my great honor to support AJ. Please join me in helping to elect AJ Rozzi as our next Cass County Sheriff."

Retired Circuit Court Judge, Leo Burns

"I have known and worked with AJ since he graduated from Logansport High School. He is honest, hardworking, experiences and dedicated to law enforcement. He has made a career in serving and helping people.

He possesses all the qualities required to be Cass County's next Sheriff."

Mayor of Logansport 1984-1992, John R. Davis

"AJ Rozzi has Cass County blood in his veins. AJ knows Cass County, and more importantly he knows its people. He is my choice to be the next Sheriff of Cass County.

His professional experience in public safety is second to none. AJ spent thirty-five years (1983-2019) on the Logansport Police Department, including four years as Assistant Chief and four years as

Chief. During that time of service he was involved in numerous cases, including the capture of an individual who abducted a young girl, and the capture of two bank robbers apprehended in conjunction with the FBI.

I have known AJ Rozzi and his family my entire life.

His character is impeccable and his dedication to this community is unquestionable. It is with the greatest of confidence that I support AJ Rozzi in the 2026 race for Sheriff of Cass County. I respectfully ask for your consideration and vote for AJ Rozzi for Sheriff of Cass County."

Retired FBI Special Agent, Bruce Guider

"I first worked with AJ on a Logansport bank robbery case that involved countless hours and several months of collaborative investigation. The cooperative efforts with AJ resulted in the convictions of the two offenders.

This type of collaboration is instrumental in order to obtain arrests and convictions. AJ Is (and was) experienced, methodical, and outstanding in his investigative work.

He is a leader - working side by side with all involved. His work ethic is beyond reproach. I wholeheartedly support AJ for your next Cass County Sheriff."

Retired LHS Athletic Director, Greg Fisher

"I’ve seen firsthand how dedicated AJ Rozzi is to serving the Logansport community. He listens, acts, and truly cares about keeping neighborhoods safe.

AJ is experienced and trustworthy with years of law enforcement experience. AJ has the integrity and knowledge Cass County needs in a sheriff. I trust he will protect the community and uphold the law fairly.

When challenges arise, AJ is the person you want leading the way. His commitment to safety and justice makes him the right choice for sheriff.

Everyone who knows AJ  respects his honesty, fairness, and dedication. I can’t think of a better person to serve as the Sheriff of Cass County."

Retired LHS Principal, Gordon Newlin

"I wish to support AJ Rozzi’s campaign to become the next Sheriff of Cass County.  I came to Logansport in August of 1989 to serve as Principal of Logansport High School.  Early in my tenure as principal, I had the opportunity to meet and work with AJ Rozzi regarding some major student disciplinary matters or those matters that involved the school and the City of Logansport.  AJ was one of the police officers that would come to the school in those situations. I always found AJ to be very professional, thorough, and compassionate when working with one of our students.

AJ also served as a representative of the Logansort Police Department at many of our school activities to include athletic events, school dances, and many other school related activities.  I believe AJ exemplified the expectations that one would have of a police officer working with and around young people.

As a police officer, AJ has served the Logansport community for many years, and I believe he has gained the respect of his fellow officers, the school community, and the citizens of our city.  He has always exemplified the character and expectations that one would have of a law enforcement officer.

As you vote in this next election, please consider AJ Rozzi as an excellent candidate for the office of Sheriff of Cass County."

Mayor of Logansport 2004-2012, Michael Fincher

"I appointed AJ Rozzi Chief after the previous Chief retired to take another position. AJ served as the Assistant Chief during the first term.

AJ’s work ethic, ability to work with others and dedication to the citizens of Logansport was undeniable then as it still is today. AJ has held most every position in the Logansport Police Department and done so we integrity and honesty.

AJ will take his 35 years of experience in law enforcement and approach the office of Cass County Sheriff with the same dedication and professionalism he did during his tenure as Chief.

AJ’s leadership skills were apparent during the establishment of the Central Dispatch working with and for both agencies to make it a point of pride for all involved.

I have every confidence that August John (AJ) Rozzi will lead the Sheriffs Cass County Department with the same work ethic, honesty and professionalism he did as Logansport Chief of Police. "

Retired Sergeant Indiana State Police, Dean Marks

"I've known AJ Rozzi since the mid 1980s, when he was a young Logansport Police Department Detective and I was a crime scene investigator for the Indiana State Police. Working side-by-side with him for over ten years before he rose through the ranks (ultimately to Chief of Police and then returning to serve as Chief of Detectives), I witnessed his great character traits that never wavered through several decades. AJ has always been always professional, honest, reliable, hardworking, detail oriented and a man of integrity who takes accountability. He works well with others and has the intelligence and ability to collaborate with people effectively from high ranking officials to the every day citizen. AJ exemplifies that politics and political lines do not matter when it comes to police work. AJ Rozzi would be an outstanding and active Sheriff for the Cass County community."

Alisa Rozzi

"Hello! My name is Alisa Rozzi, or how I feel like I’ve been better known in Logansport

for most of my life as AJ’s daughter. Which is a title I couldn’t be prouder to hold. I am

the middle child of 3 and AJ’s only daughter. As many of you know my family has a long

history of careers in law enforcement including my older brother following in my dad’s

footsteps as a current detective with the Logansport Police Department. But I want to

start by telling you about my dad’s impact on my career choice. I grew up watching my

dad in all of the titles he’s held in his life and I decided fairly young that law enforcement

was not for me but I still had that same drive to serve my community, make a positive

impact in peoples lives and help others while utilizing my personal level of

understanding and respect for law enforcement that was instilled in me young by my

dad. This I how I landed in a career in EMS. I have the unique opportunity daily to care

for others, make an impact in my community and support law enforcement officers

which includes so many of my family members by being ready and willing to care for

them while they leave their families at home to come risk their lives protecting and

serving our community.

One thing has been consistent throughout my life that regardless whether it be a fellow

officer, a friend, a victim in a previous case or someone he has had to place under

arrest for one reason or another in the past, they almost always say “Are you AJ’s

daughter?” with a smile on their face and most of the time with a story to tell me about a

positive interaction with him they have experienced. After years of hearing these stories

and opinions and now after a couple months of walking next to him while supporting him

on this campaign trail, I decided I wanted to share with you the man I think of and see

when I hear AJ Rozzi and the side of him many of you may not know.

AJ Rozzi is not only my dad but also my best friend. The most loyal, honest, caring,

compassionate, dependable, hardworking man I’ve ever met. In some of my lowest,

loneliest moments in life he’s the man that always stood by my side and never let me

feel as if I’m in this world alone. And especially now as an adult with children of my own,

I am aware how fortunate I am to be able to call him my dad. I’ve given so much thought

about writing this and how I could possibly summarize 37 years of the ways my dad has

not only demonstrated to me what kind of person he is but also what kind of person he

has made me strive to be and the multitude of reasons why Cass County would benefit

so greatly from him being elected as our next Sheriff. I decided in combination with the

pictures ive included, I would pick the top 7 words I think of when I think of AJ Rozzi, my

dad, and how I connect him to this word.

Work Ethic-

If you know me already, I’m sure you already know one thing that I’m a “workaholic”. I

have had a job since I was 15 and have basically maintained at least 2 jobs if not 3 jobs

for most of my life since entering the workforce as an adult. I have been asked so many

times over the years “Why do you work so much?”. My response has been and will

consistently remain the same that it’s all I know. I grew up watching my parents start at

the bottom and work their way to the lifestyle they have today. I watched them do this by

watching my dad work at the minimum 2 jobs if not 3 while my mom went to nursing

school. At that time, I thought my mom getting through school was the primary reason

for this, but it continued after my mom graduated school and began working as an RN.

As I got older and my dad started teaching me life lessons, I realized it wasn’t just for

my mom to get through school, it was also because my dad was raised and still today

lives by the theory that if you want something you put the work into getting it. Whether

that be a promotion at work, a new car or a nicer house the message from my dad

remained the same. This has made me develop a mindset that the rewarding feeling

you get after obtaining something you worked so hard to get is far better than the ease

of having it handed to you.

Loyalty-

Loyalty is a word I think of when I think of my dad primarily because of his loyalty to my

mom. We live in a world that sadly I feel betrayal, not only in marriages, but in so many

ways is the normal. The loyalty both my parents demonstrate to each other and to our

family is something as an adult I admire so much and am so fortunate to be taught by

their example of what true loyalty is and what it looks like. Being a loyal spouse or friend

or even leader in a community is not an easy task living in a world full of temptation and

acceptance of betrayal. But the level of difficulty doesn’t and shouldn’t matter in true

loyalty. And this wasn’t a lesson I needed to be told because they demonstrated it then

and still to this day daily to each other and our family.

Compassion-

I thought I might explain this word best with an example. Recently, late one night I called

my dad, who would typically be at least in bed if not asleep at this time and to my

surprise he was not. He told me he was sitting at the hospital with someone. Knowing

no one in my life was sick that I was aware of, so I asked, “who are you sitting with?”.

He replied saying “well it’s an older gentleman that I typically mow his yard.” He

continued to say, “I found out he was sick and and in the hospital, so I brought him

cookies and when I got here saw he doesn’t look to be doing well, and he doesn’t have

anyone here with him so I just can’t leave and leave him here alone.” My dad had been

out most of the day doing things for the campaign and around the house and had to be

at work at 7am. These factors were irrelevant to him and had not even crossed his

mind. My dad had no obligation to this man nor was he even sure the gentleman knew

my dad was there, but what drove him to do this was his moral drive that continuously

guides him to make decisions and choices based on what the right thing to do is. Not

the easy or obligated thing to do or because a camera is watching in the middle of a

campaign he wants to win but because it’s the kind of man he is always. This is the

selfless compassionate man I’ve known him to be my whole life and strive every day to

be more like in so many ways.

Honesty-

I’m not sure how to explain why honesty comes to mind when I think of my dad without

being repetitive from almost every characteristic ive described here. I think to be a loyal,

respectful, compassionate, loving person with an incredible work ethic is only possible if

you are an honest person. I think truly being an honest person even at times when

being honest isn’t easy, is at the core of the kind of person you are and the

characteristics you carry. Throughout this campaign thus far I’ve watched my dad

demonstrate transparency about his opinions, his goals, his priorities if elected Cass

County’s next sheriff and I think as a community this is one of the many of ways, he will

demonstrate the importance he places in honesty and accountability.

Respect-

I think this is one of my dad’s strongest characteristics. If he is given the chance to be

your next sheriff I think he would demonstrate this characteristic by his general respect

for other people simply because they are human, with lives or beliefs or problems he

may not understand but none the less humans that are also moms and dads and sons

and daughters and my dad never treats anyone as anything less. Both as a father and

as a person, I’ve never heard my dad disagree with someone or something and be

unwilling to hear or attempt to understand the opposing viewpoint. Still to this day when

I am debating a decision big or small and truly need guidance with the decision, this is

the reason my dad is who I call. I know when I call him, I will be guaranteed to be heard,

an attempt to understand both options and give me his true honest opinion even if we

both know his answer might not always be the one I want to hear. I know if my dad is

elected your next sheriff the community would be guaranteed the very same respect.

Commitment-

I think if you look in the dictionary under commitment in some form you would find the

name AJ Rozzi. I could go on for pages and pages about the numerous examples of the

seriousness my dad takes in any kind of commitment he makes. Whether it be a

commitment as an employee of some sort, to the community he serves as a law

enforcement officer, to our family and not only as a whole but as individuals as well, to

his friendships, to his mother as a son, or even a simple project he started or problem

he was struggling solving. A commitment is a commitment to him and there’s very few

reasons if any that would make breaking it even an option for him. I personally think his

commitment to the community and law enforcement he has already demonstrated in so

many different roles he’s held, speaks for itself in what kind of commitment, you as a

community, could continue to anticipate from him if elected your sheriff.

Love-

I decided to end with this one and primarily let the pictures speak for this word because

the love he has for his family at the end of the day is his driving force. I also believe it’s

a driving force behind his desire to be your next sheriff. He simply wants to do

everything in his power to leave this Earth one day a better place for my brothers and I

and our children and their children and so on. By being your sheriff, he sees an

opportunity to make a true difference in the community not only for our family but yours

as well!

I hope if you have not had the pleasure of meeting him, that if given the opportunity you

take 5 minutes to meet him and let him demonstrates all the qualities I’ve described

here and let him tell you all the ideas he has to improve the your community and make a

difference!"
